Today was our free day. Redwood Service Center Council chartered a bus to take us, and some teachers from San Francisco, to Boulder, about 40 minutes away.
Boulder is a university town, and thus very quaint. It had a downtown mall area, a “street” with no traffic, that was very good for walking and browsing through expensive little stores. Suffice to say, I spent way too much money.
Lunch was at King Falafal, where someone had ordered Turkish coffee. Heh.
After Boulder, we took a detour on the way back to Denver, and stopped at Red Rocks. It’s an open air amphitheater that is absolutely amazing.

This place was pretty amazing, and I can only imagine what it would be like to see a concert here.
After we got back to Denver, I had dinner with Ola and Lorraine, then went exploring. I took the free bus down the 16th Street Mall to the Tattered Cover Book Store.
I spent about an hour here, wandering around, looking at books. I bought a few posters for my class. Then I caught the bus back up the mall and headed back to the hotel.
