Thank you Supervisor Zane for standing with working people today. Not only did you do the right thing, but I admired your candor and honesty. This is how I want my elected officials to be, even when they might get heat from the opposing side, and even when making decisions with which I disagree. **
I’m sure you will get nasty emails and calls, and I was truly disgusted by the flack that you got, and the aspersions on your character, but you will weather this and it too shall pass.
I stayed to listen to a bit of Supervisor Brown’s remarks, and would’ve admired her much more if she had just said no, and been honest about the reasons for voting against the PLAs, instead of hiding behind “concerns.” I can only imagine Supervisor Carrillo’s and Rabbitt’s remarks. Again, thank you for your commitment and bravery today, and I say KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
**I’m reminded of Rev 3:15-16: “I know your works; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.”
